Simple is power full.

Simple is power full.

I feel like, as a body, we have been preparing for last Sunday for years. Every time we sat in silence, moved the chairs, got out of our comfort zones, worshipped in new styles, stretched our minds on what church is and was intended to be was all preparing us to push through obstacles and worship our King no matter what. The electricity may have been out but the Light was on at Vineyard Jackson! The simplicity of pouring our hearts and worship out like vials of precious perfume on the Living Christ will never go out of style. To hold on loosely to programs and procedures to humbly come back to the heart of worship is the goal every time we gather. It's all about You, Jesus. This must be the most true thing about us as believers and followers. I loved every single second of it! In fact, my personal anticipation for coming together has only been on the increase. Family, we are seeing something miraculous happen every single time we gather. It is believed that Albert Einstein said, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is”. I'm in the everything camp. Meeting together is no small miracle. Love is the ultimate goal and the power of God grows in here every time we participate with Holy Spirit.

We will be a house of prayer in an atmosphere of worship. We will be people who know how and go into His presence, host His presence and carry His presence out. We are doing it And joy is growing in us as we go. Funny how that happens, huh? As the dominion and authority of Jesus Christ increases, so does His peace and joy and righteousness. Where the King is present, the kingdom is present. Whew, I'm fired up writing this!

Duke shared stories and testimonies of wonderful things the Lord has done in this building over the years. Stories of healing, deliverance, lives transformed, words of prophecy given.. I wanted to write down all of your stories too. We have encountered the Lord so many times here and for that I'm eternally grateful. We weren't able to livestream but did get an audio recording. Check it out if you have time.

One word I feel burning in my fingers, is that sometimes its hard to come back. When we get out of the ritual or habit of doing anything for a while, it can be challenging to jump back in. New Years can bring a lot of newness and freshness if we're willing. I encourage any and all that have struggled to go to church or be in the fellowship of believers, to courageously step out and try again. Even if it's not in this place. You matter to the greater body. Your presence is vital. The community is not whole without you. Be bold and courageous, the Lord goes with you where ever you will go.

Get excited! The Lord is among us. And if we have Him, have everything.

Happy New Year, Beloved! Can't wait to see you in 2025,

Rachel Burnham

Bible Reading Plan for 2025 starts tomorrow

This will be our third year reading through the Bible as a church family! This particular reading plan was the first one Beau ever did after he encountered the Lord and began walking with Him. It will take about 15 minutes a day to read or listen to the passages. I'm excited to see and hear the revelations from each person's journey in the scriptures with Holy Spirit as our teacher. After each reading, you're encouraged to share before signing off. Your voice matters. We love getting to know you all and this is one way of building deeper fellowship and community with one another. Please join us!
